More than the character I wish his book was good.
I'm ok with average MCs like Miles, since he works as a protagonist and straight man while providing classic teenage commentary on his adventures.
But his stories are always ruined by something stupid like events. Or Bendis doesn't use what is there. What happened to judge? Why couldn't Bendis write about the all new Ultimates since he already did it so well before the Galactus event? Why can't Miles earn his victories instead of using the zappy shit? Why doesn't he get some romantic interests and new villains?

Also I want Riri to be good too but I haven't touched the book because Miles is a mess.

There aren't bad or good characters. There is only good or bad writing. Good writer can make any character interesting. Miles will be "bad" untill Bendis fucks off

Pretty much this. If I got a chance to write Miles. There are two things I want to do.
>Revamp his power-set, more importantly no more black guy electric shock that he has just because his black.
>Give him a goal and diverse himself more from Peter. Peter's Spidey is a taunting jokester who always has a joke in his head. Miles is awkward, shy and tries his best to be cool.

Miles just needs to get away from Bendis. The chick who writes Ms. Marvel handled him pretty good and actually gave him a personality.

Not that it matters since the Ultimate Universe died shortly after, but I'm still shocked they brought Peter back. His death was great, it felt really cheap.
