Action/Comedy set in Prohibition-era Chicago, chock full of a bunch of wop caricatures and Dick Tracy-esque bad guys living side-by-side with real 30's gangsters.

Play it out as an episodic mystery-of-the-week thing, running parallel with tastefully embellished re-tellings of how things really went down in some of the b-plots. On some occasions history indirectly ties into the main story, other times the protagonists will have to play a role in history themselves, and will have to honor that status quo by any means necessary (even if it means forfeiting evidence that could put away Al Capone to save a side character, or being unable to warn various people of soon-to-be-successful assassination attempts because of reasons)
