The original Love and Rockets run is amazing. Are the "New Stories" worth reading?
Sure.

Yes, they are totally worth reading.
I prefer Xaime's stories to Beto's, but they both hold up.

Exactly what I came here to say. I think my problem with Beto's stories is that while they are overall well-written for the most part, they get a bit too self-indulgent for my tastes.

Same here, basically. Have you seen the latest issue? Beto essentially says fuck the Fritz haters. Funny and true.

New Stories #4 is a perfect conclusion to the series, everything after exists just because the fans won't let them quit
>>91794694
I have no clue what that is, explain?

it's a comic book about women with enormous tits where it isn't porn
>>91794694
Yeah it's alright.

Beto does plenty of non l&r stuff, if Jaime wants to so something else he sure as he'll hasn't shown it
>>91803328
one of the best none cape comics in my own opinion as well as this>>91803357

ehh its 50/50, god and science is kind of weak but the love bunglers is solid. As for the palomar/luba side i can't quite say since i don't care about fritz, but the carmen and hercules story does interest me.

Love and Rockets is an indie comic by three (but mostly two) brothers from Southern California named Jamie, Gilbert ("Beto") and Mario Hernandez. The Hernandez brothers produce stories independently of each other. Gilbert and Jaime produced the majority of the material, and tended to focus on particular casts of characters and settings.
Gilbert usually focused on a cast of characters in the fictional Central American village of Palomar; the stories often featured magic realist elements.
Jamie does a series called Locas centered on a social group in Los Angeles, particularly the Latin-American friends and sometimes-lovers Maggie and Hopey.
