I always figured that Peridot was just so unfamiliar with what a human was aside from a word in an old report that she just assumed a steven might be a different thing.

Though, I admit that the theory that the kidnappers are targeting this list does have at least one hole in it, in that they should be able to identify humans more readily without needing to track them according to name, since collecting humans seems to be what their whole mission is about and we do have confirmation that they have a zoo full of samples to study before heading into the field. Just seems kind of weird that the trailer and episode titles coincidentally seem to match up pretty well to 4/6 of the list.

It rapidly leads to plot escalation and stretching, plus in a story where to protagonists are reactive, like SU, it tends to cause formulaic episodes. Townie episodes also allow for a greater variety of character interactions, which is a real shame that they don't do townie/Gem interactions more often.

Some kind of natural predator for Gems could be cool. Maybe they have natural abilities that allow them to counter the Gem's unique powers and physiology? Might be interesting to have something that even the Homeworld Gems would freak out about. Plus, they would be organic creature that could actually smack the Gems around, which would be something different compared to how usually humans/organic creatures in general can't hold a candle to Gems.

Bonus points if they look like space dragons, so you could have them collect gems/gem shards as hoards like dragons are supposed to do in myths and stories.

I kinda compare SU to AT now. Eventually I stopped watching because the finals the didn't deliver and the stand alone episodes neither. Eventually I saw people talking more and more about AT again which made me check it out again. And boy it didn't disappoint. Now I'm back to being hooked. Looks like it's underlings only, according to the same guy who leaked that aquamarine/topaz info before the preview. So meh, no hype for me, I would rather have Diamonds/Pearls instead of some headhunters with what looks like shit designs. As for the predictions: people are getting abducted (I like that idea about the targets coming from Peridot's old report), new gems appear and trash one of the CGs to show off (most likely Garnet jobbing again), Steven decides to go and talk the Homeworld out of it, CGs are left behind and cry like useless bitches they are, season ends on a cliffhanger for season 5 (maybe even with that scene of Steven disappearing behind the yellow door).

I created my own and wrote some scenarios involving them to entertain myself while these boring-ass townie episodes are happening.

They're a group of aliens from planets destroyed by Homeworld that have banded together and now seek to topple the Gem Empire by destroying Kindergartens, stealing Diamond secrets and generally killing as many Gems as they come across. But they mostly visit planets that are marked by the Gem Empire to stop them from turning more planets into hives and have other races face the same lost they have. They come to Earth and of course, think the main cast is with Homeworld and tries to kill them.

I was thinking of writing a full-fledged story on Fanfiction.net or something but I lost interest. But I might change my mind if the show continues to disappoint. Not sure how many people would actually be interested in reading this though.
