This show could've been really awesome if it focused more

The show would have been great if the creators were actual fans of rock music. Instead they just made the dad a shallow rock star stereotype and didn't bother to put in any references that any rock music loving dads would enjoy. Could have catered to young and older audiences, but no :C

There's a pretty funny story about Gene and the /co/ world. Gene's son really liked the X-Men, so he thought it would be a cool idea to do a KISS/X-Men crossover special. He got into contact with Avi Arad and Haim Saban (creator of the Power Rangers) to pitch the idea, and they liked them. They went over the broad details, and Haim who, along with Avi, is an Israeli immigrant, leaned over and said in Hebrew 'Now we gut him like a fish'.

Gene, whose real name is Chaim Witz, said to him in Hebrew: "You asshole, I'm one of you!"

The problem with this show was that it was Canadian. 99% of all Canadian cartoons have ridiculously terrible writing, because Canadian scriptwriters don't need to put much effort into it.
