this guy killed his chances, though, there were a TON of popular flash guys who just kinda fell into the internet dark depths. someone like egoraptor (who calls him that anymore?) managed to pull himself away, but only because he realized that there was an easier way to make money instead of trying to make money doing what he liked, which would have made him poor and unremembered by now.

Read his full post. He had a Patreon that was set up to have people donate PER-EPISODE rather than monthly like most. Nintendo just saw glanced over it and saw that someone was making money off of one of their brand names and shut it down.

Are you me? Newgrounds was really different pre-2006. I don't know how the community changed because when Egorator released Metal Gear Awesome that's when I left the site and jumped on the early-Youtube ship,by that time on NG that was when:

Holy fuck.

I remember this guy. Watching his shit on newgrounds, reading his comics, and enjoying the fuck out of his content. He was a great guy in my juvenile perspective, like he could do really impressive shit easily. He started my hobby of doodling, sprites, and some 3D art.
Even when I didn't have that many friends and was regarded as "hyperactive" which was a nicer word for fucking retarded, this guy, and newgrounds animations and games and even fucking HALOLZ was there. I could always go back.
Now I'm 20. I'm a sophmore in college getting my engineering degree in one of the best schools for it in the US, and fuck me mate, I'm popular. I lost weight, gained abs, did drugs, got smart. I started doing more and more stuff and I forgot about former shit entirely. 4chan, comics,doodling drugs, and vidya with friends and roomates was my main occupation. I completely forgot about this guy.
Until now.
Seeing this man, this poor abused man who struggled to stay afloat with his animations who had taken my path, but fallen really fucking demoralizes me.
I mean fuck. I just need to understand why this world is so cruel towards those who deserve kindness and fortune.

Because Tom ended up making it all about himself. Not to mention he was a bitch to work with, like not giving specific instructions as to what the animators should even be doing, fucking up the character's personalities, and injecting his shitty asdf humor into it all
So far with the newer comics Matt seems to be handling things much better, but there still hasn't been any news on when, or if, any new Eddisodes will be made. I hope things work out for him
