She doesn't fight Batman as often as The Joker so she doesn't have the excuse of "learning how to fight better by constantly sparring with a professional" . I never really liked Harley because of how Mary Sue she is.

Red Hood was right. Joker is only kept alive because of bad writing. There's always a reboot every 10 years, so why not have a story where Batman kills Joker and make it canon? Joker will come back in the reboot.

She went from being a mostly harmless henchwoman for the Joker with occasional bouts of deadliness who was, for the most part, meant to be a tragic depiction of an abusive relationship, to a super competent Deadpool ripoff who is somehow capable of going head-to-head with metahumans.

Dini should've been like Gaiman was with the Endless and kept her off limits. The Harley we have now might as well be a completely new character.

The original origin story for her was that she had a background in gymnastics when she was in college, and years later Poison Ivy gave her some sort of serum that increased her speed/response time after some huge battle that heavily injured her. From there you can assume that her skills grew the more practice she got with fighting Batman and co.

When Dini writes her, and whenever she's away from the Joker and doing her own thing with her friends like Gotham City Sirens, she CAN be a good role model.
