I sometimes see complains about how characters "don't talk like that in real life", but I really don't see the big deal about it.

I can understand the complaint if the character is otherwise written as a "real life character"

Fuck the way people talk. Was wearing cape part of the normal attire? I mean, he isn't some kind of super villain, he is just some kind of normal criminal.
>>91694868
Nerts to that!
>>91694868
>>91694892
This guy is great, and we need more of him today.
>>91694991
he is dead, Jim.
>>91694868
its one of those things that's basically always true so you can say it about anythhing and feel smug at how right and smart you are
>>91694998
Like that's stopped anyone in comics before!
>>91694868
It's fine in text. It only really becomes annoying in audio, and even then only specific types of dialogue where the characters announce their emotions instead of just emoting.
>>91695054
I see plenty of people complain about how comics are written and using this complain.
>>91694868
It's just another way to say they hate the dialogue
>>91694892
If anything real like talk should be more like this
>>91695791
agreed
Was it somewhere established before that not like being shot had special meaning?
>>91695985
Also I don't think he had to say he was a detective . that was was implied by the his boast that the bad guys career a crime is over
>>91696023
I'm fine with eveything else
>>91694868
>On the stage
Source? This could be a play within the story.
>>91694930
Capes are cool.
>>91695054
>where the characters announce their emotions instead of just emoting
THAT MAKES ME ANGRY
You want characters that talk "like real people do"?
That's how we get Bendis-speak.
