So I just finished watching LoliRock and thought it was pretty okay. I look forward to seeing Praxina knock some sense into Iris next season. I hope that now that the Oracle Gems are all found we'll receive a more story- or character-driven product and not get a bunch of character of the day episodes that really drag the whole the season down.
Thoughts on the show? I heard there were comics ad books, are those available in English?

Not that I know of. I think there was a scanlator though.
>>91625201
Can't tell if season 3 will even exist
>>91626145
That sucks.
>>91626517
It'll exist as long as we believe.
>>91626983
The comics were all based off episodes anyways. I don't think you're missing much.
Always nice to see more anons give LR a shot.
>>91626517
A full season might be a stretch. Thinking an OVA is more viable.
>>91628752
Would the series have benefited by being entirely made up of OVA's instead of episodic?
Not that it would happen in France but the lack of continuity between episodes did hurt the overall storytelling.

It always depends on how you present the story and the pacing. I think it would work with 12 or 13 episodes.
>>91630259
In that case, what episodes would you cut?
>>91630379
Damn...what fluff eps would one keep each season...

TV series don’t have to be episodic, this is just western broadcasters being retarded western broadcasters because they want episodes to be watchable out of order.
That being said, even if you don’t have this restriction, creating an interesting overarching plot line is insanely hard and Lolirock’s writing already struggles with single episodes more often than not. Limiting such a show to 12 episodes with tight pacing has so much potential for harm while offering virtually no improvement. Fluffy “filler” episodes don’t hurt the show and they’re much more easily written and written well too, there is no reason to cut them. It’s already hard enough to produce 6 episodes with decent continuity, no reason to force it on 12 or more.
Which does /co/ prefer?
>>91631350
Lyna of course. She’s so dreamy.
Carissa is just dumb in the head.
>>91631920
That's part of her endearing charm. She ended up with more actual character than Lyna did, in the end.
>>91632433
A lot of character she’s having there with another non-character.
it was kinda ok, but the choices of plots were way too generic outside of the rare arc relevant ones.
a S3 would definitely be welcome though, with an actually interesting villain and 2 team mates to develop
I have to wonder how much this show costed compared to Marathon's usual fare.
>>91631350
Lyna
Talia
Auriana
Carissa
Iris
In that order.
>>91630379
From the top of my head:
Flower episode
Haunted house episode
Bat episode
Camp episode
Lake Agnes episode
Quicksand Ferret episode
>>91633822
Not Quicksand Ferret...
>>91634840
Sadly best sidefus are in otherwise uneeded filler eps
