Adopting is a huge pain in the ass though and there are a ton of hurdles you have to jump through until you are qualified to be able to take a child home.

Not to mention you will have to have some govt officials constantly monitor your parenting and if something seems off, they will take the child back. If your a single man and don't want to get married, its quite literally impossible to adopt.
