Goths are overrated. Why aren't there more punk and scene

My theory is that punk music is linked to sjw ideology (if not responsible for it) while goth music is a little more neutral with that, therefor bringing away all the horny cartoon dorks.

basically, punk music/culture appeals to super liberal kids for the most part, especially during the 90's. During this time period, stuff like veganism, anarchism, and feminism became major topics that literally whole music scenes focused on, such as the riotgirl scene which was basically just a bunch of all-girl indie-punk bands that wrote songs about feminism n shit.

Punk in general is pretty diverse: You get kids who are into saying offensive shit to piss others off, you get kids who were weird and artsy, you get proto-SJW kids, etc.

tl;dr the super liberal group within the punk world where essentially tumblr kids before tumblr was even invented
