They have more depth than most cartoons. I'm not saying they're better than other cartoons, I'm just saying they have more to discuss, and importantly more to speculate about.

regardless of what you think of them, they have interesting stuff to talk about. Rick and morty at first was just pure comedy but since S2 theres some continuity.
Samurai Jack is the return of a classic series that most of /co/ loved and will finally get its conclusion. Also its not episodic anymore.
Steven Universe has lore that SOMETIMES they tackle,and when they do its juicy stuff.

Also these three cartoons are very popular and get good ratings
