Man, it's just that there are so few epsiodes; I would've never wanted for Aishi and Jack to interact with each other so soon: I would've had them fight a bit in the snow in this episode and then have Jack leave ashi to herself somehow; like she gets badly injured and Jack spares her and treats her wounds and gets her some food but then leaves her there still unconscious and he just goes away, then she wakes up disoriented and goes another way looking for ways to become stronger than Jack. But then you would still need to spend some episodes on Aishi's own journey and that even less on Jack.

What a crock of shit. Ashi isn't necessary for Jack to find the path again. He just had a whole bit where he reflected upon the importance of your choices and their consequences. And as >>91461214 says, having the Scotsman be the catalyst to start Jack's journey back towards his purpose would be a much better and more sensible way to do it, not to mention more interesting.

Ashi is a bad idea. I have no clue why Genndy would close his series by wasting so much of his conclusion episodes on a boring, generic, and pointless character like her.

Genndy is a hack that can barely remember his own show's storyline. He relies on tropes and scenery to cover for the bad plot and flintstones tier animation.
I can't fathom why samurai jack fans parade jack around as some kind of mature, deep masterpiece. Even as a kid I knew the show was shallow.
Don't get me wrong I liked the show in the same way I liked dexters lab, it was a fun time waster for a kid. As soon as I discovered anime it became apparent how shallow jack was. If you compare it to any serious anime you'll know what I mean. The fight scenes were ruined by the stiff animation and serious moments were ruined by cheap stock sounds and obnoxious voice acting.
The revival has taken on a more serious tone, but still suffers from the same problems. The animation is cheap and riddled with errors, the sound effects are stock and the writing is subpar. Compare Jack to berserk, it's clear that Jack is nowhere near that quality.
How anyone could be sad about episode 4 being delayed is beyond me, I don't understand how anyone could put this show on a pedestal. I guess that speaks more about the dry spell of good cartoons in the west than it does them though.

But SJ was always about the sidecharacters more than Jack. Jack's interactions with them and how it affects the world is the single best description of what those 4 seasons were. Few were the episode where the interesting bit wasn't everything but Jack.

Season 1 to 4 had 13 episodes. After 13 years of something that probably never would have been brought back and getting 10 episodes instead of 5 episodes cut down 5 minutes long is a huge step in the right direction.

Also, if you watch the show while it's airing will show Cartoon Network that you want more episodes. After all, it's money what they want, so give it to them.

So Jack defeats Aku, and then what? He leaves the world without protection from Aku should he somehow return? It's pretty clear Ashi exists because she'll end up becoming his protege and the backup plan in case he returns after Jack defeats him. Jack's not going to be alive forever. Chances are, he will die immediately after fulfilling is destiny. It'd be out of character for Jack wasting his training and leaving the world defenseless.
