What will be this decades best american animation?
Will something new rise up or will Rick and Morty be the de facto one?
When will people stop praising Avatar despite it being mediocre? Are Americans so desperate for dramatic, serialized animation that they'll accept anything?
And the fucking Simpsons? Are you serious, nigga? Even if you're limiting yourself to television, there are at least a dozen shows better than early simpsons.
I honestly can't tell if this is bait or if you're actually mentally impaired, but either way I just wanted to drop in to say that you have no place here and we want you to leave.
>fucking rick and morty
christ
Didn't you make this same thread earlier?

>Simpsons not being the best writing and show of the 90's
Do you have anything that would compare? From the 1990 to 1998 they were making back to back some of the best american animation content ever made
>Avatar mediocre
We all know it had an asspull ending, but outside it was still top tier on worldbuilding, design, emotion, and character development in a particularly aimed kids show
However to say it is on the level of JSL is debatable, but I'm just going by the general consensus on this one.
As for why I mentioned rick and morty, again I'm going by what people will deem the best of this decade. If you have other suggestions I'm open ears friend.

so wait, is this a "best animation" thread, or "best animation from the viewpoint of casuals" thread. Aka, a person that flips through channels and lands on whatever. Because if so, just replace all of it with family guy and south park. Avatar and JL have no place anywhere.

best AMERICAN animation from an objective point of view based off its merits.
hence why Samurai Jack can't be in the running for 2010-2019 because the majority of it ran in the prior decade
I think Adventure Time will be since it was super influential. It's not the first that did anything that it did but it's the reason we got so many of the other shows that people like in this decade. It's like how every animated show for adults only existed because of the Simpsons even though it wasn't the first animated sitcom.

Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, and Batman: The Animated Series are all 90s animated shows that are far superior to even peak Simpsons.

>Tiny toons and animaniacs being superior to peak simpsons
Batman is up there i'll admit, its that JLU caliber, but animaniacs aged pretty bad and still had a handful of hit or miss segments compared to the 3-9 seasons of simpsons that are near flawless and still stand up today.
Also Tiny Toons isn't even close to peak simpsons level in terms of writing, drama, or comedy
what an awful thread
