>Make "Bad guy" who is right in every way except the fact that he is willing to hurt people or destroy things to get his goal
>We are supposed to hate him because of this
Does this mean we should think of the founding Fathers as bad people too or anyone who used violence for good?
I don't really understand your train of logic here. But the point of Magneto is the hypocrisy.
Road to hell paved with good intentions, and all

You're supposed to hate him because he hurts innocent people.
And yes, most of the Founding Fathers were bad people who did some okay things.

>Make "Bad guy" who is right in every way except the fact that he is willing to hurt people or destroy things to get his goal
That's the point
Yes, because killing/slaving all humans to create a mutant utopia is definitely a good, righteous act as opposed to liberate your country from people who conquered it and treat you as second tier people.

>as opposed to liberate your country from people who conquered it and treat you as second tier people.
But this part is true of Magnetos case too. Also unlike the revolutionary War the humans aggressed first.
Well, it depends on the writer, doesn't it? Sometimes it's justified use of force, sometimes he's literally herding random jagoffs into death camps like Mutant Hitler.

>Does this mean we should think of the founding Fathers as bad people too or anyone who used violence for good?
They're bad people because they owned slaves.
>>91443609
By that logic everyone was a bad person until a few hundred years ago.
>>91443632
Everyone is a bad person now too though. Just in different ways. There are plenty of bad actions out there.
Bad people can still do good acts though.
>>91443462
You're saying Magneto is worse than the Founding Fathers?
> killing/slaving all humans
George Washington definitely owned a shit ton of slaves and hated the Native Americans
>liberate your country from people who conquered it and treat you as second tier people
Holy shit do you somehow think that the American Revolution was about fighting for a nation that was CONQUERED? I mean, yeah it was conquered, but mostly by the colonists.and Americans.
>>91443632
Yes, why else do you think there wasn't another Morgan Freeman for over a millennia before this?
>>91442821
>not getting that magneto is a fucking hypocrite
>not getting his entire character is about how hate is circular.
>>91443632
>everyone was a bad person until a few hundred years ago
>*every WHITE person
FTFY. Thank progressive, ethnically diverse, non-specific Celestial Deity that Europe/the US will be become Ambiguous Minority Brown soon and the last 400 years of nothing but disgusting white oppression and evil will be wiped out for good.

>George Washington definitely owned a shit ton of slaves and hated the Native Americans
George Washington eased out of it, though he didn't really bother trying to abolish it. He didn't sell slaves and break up families, he started replacing them with indentured servants, and wanted abolitionism to happen, but at the same time he didn't really advocate it vocally and in office signed in a bunch of severe slavery laws. He freed all his in his will though.

The irony of Magneto is that he unknowingly became what he hated. His motives blind him
