A lot of things about Ashi and Jack with the last episode really bothered me and I am worried about how she will impact the rest of the series. Fourth episode was by far my least favorite and entirely because of her and how Jack acted around her. Depends on the fiction. SJ could easily work on multiverse theory, meaning that even if Jack kills Aku in the future, and then goes back to his time and does the same, Aku's future will still exist, but the timeline Jack went to will now continue into a world without his evil.

It's one reason I kind of like the idea of Jack realizing that Aku exists in multiple realities and decides to use his immortality to slay every Aku he can find and free their respective universes.

There are lots of time travel ideas, because time travel is a totally hypothetical thing. Fiction has free reign to do what it wants with time travel, and it takes ample advantage of that. Be it predestination (Bill & Ted), or a single mutable timeline (Back to the Future), or many alternate timelines (Zelda), or some hybrid of two or more (MLP) -- they all get pretty good mileage.

I can understand why. SJ has a far lower pacing that can get you bored if not in the right mindset.

It also has the same problem as AT and SU where the plot really never goes anywhere and it's mostly just an excuse for the character to see different environments and characters rather then extend the plot. I think SJ handles it better though as it never really pretends that it's going somewhere and then backs out Luke SU, but I can see why people won't like.

I'm all for differing opinions but it feels like majority of the people who hate season 5 only ever give pure conjecture of how they think things will go, rather then actually seeing the plot unfold.

Someone on here mentioned that it felt more like Jack kept trying to sell things to her because of the Aku bit; he's starting to realize the girls were brainwashed, which isn't helping his guilt and if he can save ONE then maybe he's less of a murderer, and just as importantly, they have to KNOW what they're worshiping.

Aishi must realize the evil that is Aku. Then Jack can be alright with whatever path she chooses to take, informed in where she's going.

After the first episode it was clear that there was going to be this team up. I'm not really a fan of that story set up and they didn't do anything to make it special. To me it's predictable and will probably be my least favorite part of the series. That being said I've still been enjoying the show. I liked the different environments inside the monster. Last episode the fight in the woods was cool as well.

It's funny because the actual context of the show contradicts the "appealing to SJWs"... Jack kicked those girls asses. Violently. I'm surprised more SJWs and feminists aren't complaining about it.

I figured they were going somewhere with Aishi obviously, giving her some focus on the plot. But I think the point of her character is to show how this world Aku rules has a kind of Stockholm syndrome and they don't know what the world would be without Aku ruling it.

Jack knows. Pretty much only Jack knows. That makes his mission more sacred.

Also, if this was an immediate 180° turn there wouldnt be an entire episode dedicated to Ashi discovering all the good things Jack has done. She just decided to put her mission aside to do what she likes.
