>The Republic has billions of soldiers

>Droids for some reason use speed bikes and jousting rods
>fuck up some tanks nothing big probably could be taken down with a gun ship or two
>All Obi-Wan says is "MOUNT UP"
Why the fuck would these guys even be on stand by?

If I recall this scene made jousting battalions canon
That had a 90% mortality rate on both sides

star wars is about having fun and looking at neat things

>Gennedywars

OP you're the type of person who wonders why the Alliance didn't just rig a couple ships to fly into the Death Star at light speed to fuck it up

No other reason than that it looked awesome.

Clearly they were amazing anti-armor troops.
>>91385626
for taking out other jousters of course

Looking at this clip I'm now 99% sure it's for that shot at the beginning of the second episode of Obi Wan in his armored robes leading the clones
Badass

Like most things in Gendywars (and Star Wars in genral), Style>Practicality
>>91385626
Are you questioning Generalissimo Tartakovsky's tactics?
>>91391902
Not to miss your point completely, but I'd assume they'd go splat on the Death Star's shields even in hyperspace.

>fuck up some tanks nothing big probably could be taken down with a gun ship or two
Naw, as anyone who played SW Battlefront (the original) can tell you, those things are slow af and would be useless against a smarm of super-fast, super-small enemies.

Hit and Run.
>>91385626
Genndywars do not run on logic.
You guys better not even try to pretend this wasn't a cool scene. Now whether it's practical, that's debatable. Certainly seems useful against nonmoving/slowmoving targets. Ground troops probably end up doing more than just firing off maybe 10 times and getting shot.

>scrape tank with pole
>it explodes
why couldn't they make more of these
>>91385626
none of the starwars tech ever made sense
