Spider-Gwen COULD have been a success. Everyone was hyped up for her because of her costume. Everyone was excited for her. But Latour and Robbi ruined her character with shitty art, boring writing, and glacier pacing. It's now pretty hard for her to bounce back.

Silk was never going to be popular. Despite Slott's claims that "thousands of people love her", most don't even know who she is or give a crap. She's a harmless character and has some cute moments.

In her own series she's fairly determined and capable. She messes up sometimes, but she's trying to do the right thing and be proactive about it.

Also they actually are trying to spend the time to build up her supporting cast, which is always good.
