I mean I don't mind if the occasional MC and bbf of MC of opposite or same genders get together at the end, but when you know that for a fact it'll be the case and a series wastes it's time on other MC romances I literally just fast forward to skip those parts because of how much of a waste of time they are.

This is why I like secondary character romances better, they're more unpredictable and are often used sparingly so when they do romance a bit it can be a breath of fresh air when done competently and it's not getting in the way of my plot.
