I can kind of see it, though they're fanfics they are different enough from the original characters that there will be more stories to tell.

But I don't think CN would go for it, they probably wouldn't remember these episodes exist when they go to reboot the show. They'd go for the safe bet of keeping to the same original concept but dumbing things down in Adventure Time GO! or something.
I would love to see what a dark and edgy AT reboot would look like though.
