Nearly everything about the show is completely absurd, the narrative rules and stakes are so loose they're practically non-existent, and yet it still aims for emotional payoffs it can't possibly hope to achieve.

I can understand the show just not having my sense of humor, but when it goes for drama I'm actually baffled. I'm being asked to invest myself emotionally in scenarios and characters that were quite literally invented for an mspaint slapstick short on Youtube, how can anyone possibly give a fuck?
