Out of all the ones I can think of that were unjustly cut down, it's the only one that has NO chance of ever getting picked back up. It's kind of both. Anime was more or less meant to be its own thing (given it starts off with a premise like the movie), but the dub tried to make it some kind of sequel to everything made before, creating a serious continuity issue since Jamba and Pleakly were chasing Stitch instead of being his friends. Then the second season of the anime goes and makes it that Lilo was a factor and got into boys and made Stitch lose all of his fucking development despite probably being her wingman when she hit puberty.

There are certain people with a passion for raw talent. Some are born with a gift for strategy, others with a knack for drama and the arts; the voice actor for Pearl, regardless of circumstance, was born for the purpose of both her sung and unsung voice.

I am really very quite amazed at Steven Universe's ability to have casted her for this role, and in that regard, how much recognition she's gotten for it. Absolutely amazing voice.
