There's no story telling, you just keep this shit going until new kids come and replace the grown ups. Comics does that too but they overloaded the scheme by not waiting enough time because they try to get quick cash, so they now must suffer from their mistake.

Also, compared to the japanese, there's a real lack of diversity. Race swaps aren't diversity when every title has the the exact same tone and setting.
