Creator? Yes, absolutely. She has wonderful ideas and beautiful designs. The world she has presented to us is one of wonder, with limitless potential.

The problem is once she creates something, she doesn't know what the fuck to do with it. She can't write a satisfying payoff to save her life, and constantly flip-flops between ideas and executions to an extent that all of them suffer for it. Sugar seems almost entirely incapable of telling a story with any sort of coherent narrative, opting instead to shit out a loose coil of vaguely interconnected events that more often than not obscure the interesting details and elements for boring, go-nowhere, do-nothing doldrums.

It's so painfully frustrating to see so much of Steven Universe's potential squandered on nonsense.
