To me, Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy felt like they really didn't need to be there.

A good portion of the ideas in Ghoul School felt interesting enough to work on their own. The idea of a finishing school for monsters alone sounds fucking hilarious.

I can see that.

As 1 dimensional as the ghouls could be, they still had some distinct qualities to them. The Calloway cadets were practically the same character, and by character I mean cardboard cutout.

That's not to say I wouldn't want the ghouls to have some form of human counterparts. Having "strange" characters possibly works better when you have "normal" characters to compare them to. However, I would like said counterparts to actually be interesting, or at the very least distinct.

Well as far as I can tell Winnie's redesign was to make her wolf aspects more apparent, and as for Elsa's well her original design is probably the worst one in the movie, plus since Frankenstoids are built, one can justify any major changes to her design pretty easily

Also while I don't mind Winnie being a tomboy, I am not a fan of the default outfit most draw her in, the whole flannel look is pretty bland

Another angle you could go for is Winnie slipping it into anon's drink, then on the drive goes on he starts burning up, getting home to find the dong has changed. There, Winnie could spill the beans, and future changes if done could either be a part of Winnie's plan or a miscalculation when brewing the potion.
