The only people who dislike TLK3 are millennials who are butthurt over how it ignores the sanctity of the mediocre original and shits all over it.
>>91180521
Wait theres a lion king 3? Wasnt it 1/2
>>91180521
I dislike it because the original is mediocre and Timon and Pumba are not funny enough to carry a movie on their own
>>91180521
this was released to a millenial audience. the last i checked, it was loved.
if anything it's the gen x'ers that are butthurt.
keep trying.
>>91180521
>Lion King 3
>Not Lion King 1 1/2
>>91180521
I guess that describes me, then because I found it boring as fuck.
The Tunnel Digging song is great, though.
>>91180521
Now, anon, see, this would only really work if anyone ever actually watched this.
I... think... I might have... but I don't remember.
>>91180521
1 and 1/2 was in every way superior sequel to 2. LK2 sucked balls, garbage Sonichu bait shit cartoon with shit quality animation.
>>91180821
Yes but TLK2 had My Lullaby.
>>91182113
It's actually a very shit song. The VA did not bring her A-game. One of Us is much better.
>>91180521
>takes place during lion king 1
>name it lion king 3
>>91182278
It's based off Rosencrantz and Guildenstern which is a midquel of Hamlet you fucking retard.
I know this is /co/ but holy shit do people really not know that Lion King is based off of Hamlet?
>>91182427
What does that have to do with the post you quoted?
>>91180521
It came out when I was a kid, must've been about 7 I think (2004, right?), and like all kids I didn't give a shit that it was direct-to-DVD trash and enjoyed it, my older siblings who were in their late teens-early 20s at the time however acted like it was a crime against humanity. So I'm going to say it's more of a Gen X-er/80s/early 90s kid thing than a millennial thing, these terms are getting really confusing and arbitrary at this point. So yeah, kids like it and that's all that really matters.
>>91182521
Remember when every older kid got mad as hell about the DTV sequels, and we just liked them because they were cheap but reasonably well-made?
>>91180521
I don't think you know what age range is millenials part of.
>>91180521
>millennials
Leave this place and never come back.
>>91182521
Everyone born in the 90s is a millenial dude.,
Didn't the film have a sort of MST3K format where Timon and Pumba were watching their own movie?
>>91182538
>had about 6 Beethoven movies on DVD I'd just kept from Blockbuster
>had at least 4 Air Buds movies
>Rugrats in Paris, Thornberries/Rugrats crossover and All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 were two of my favorite movies ever as a kid
>seen almost every DTV sequel, especially loved Return of Jafar, Tarzan 2, The Fox and the Hound 2 and Stitch Has a Glitch
>all those delicious 90s kid tears from my siblings raining down on me for it
>thoroughly convinced at the time they were just jelly about not getting sequels to all these movies when they were kids
>>91182605
I know that. '82-'99. OP clearly doesn't though and probably thinks millennial = born in 2000 or after so I'm just going along with his definition of the term to avoid having to explain shit to him.
>>91180521
>>91182278
>Lion King 3
Was it not called Lion King 1 ½? At least I think so when I owned this on DVD
>>91182427
That's a super simplistic view of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, but it's not surprising to hear from an anon trying to sound intellectual.
>>91182700
>>91182658
>"The Lion King 1½ (known as The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata outside of North America) is a 2004 Americananimated film produced by DisneyToon Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures and Buena Vista Distribution."
just fucking use google, dude
>>91182727
It was called 1 1/2 in latinamerica though.
But who gives a fuck.
>>91182727
thanks anyways anon
>>91182427
It was based off of Kimba the white lion.Hamlet was a cover up.
>>91183261
There's literally nothing similar with Kimba there.
>>91180521
>millinials
>lion king 3
>not lion king 1/2
Well you deserved to be raped in the ass until you shit blood you little cuck
>>91183953

"literally" my ass.
>>91180521
I know the reason why these films are hated. It's mainly muh corporate Disney and milking franchise schlock. And yeah, there's definitely a couple DTV sequels which suck hard (Beauty and the Beast sequels say hi), but I think some get unnecessarily criticized for what they're worth. The Lion King, Aladdin, and Lilo & Stitch sequels are especially good in my opinion, and LK1½ has some genuinely hilarious moments imo.
>>91180704
1 and a 1/2 if memory hasn't failed yet
>>91180765
i found this one from the credits better as a kid. Kinda makes me nostalgic now

>>91182521
my baby sister unironically loves LK2 more than the original.
I hope she realises the incest subtext when she gets older, kek
>>91180821
The only thing good about 2 is the not one of us song
>>91182521
>/80s/early 90s kid than a millenial
80's, 90's kids are THE millenials you dumb twat.
>>91180753
I remember when "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" was called "Madagascar: The Crate Escape"
they should really put ("Title Pending)" for that kind of shit
>people giving a shit about direct-to-video Disney movies
Name 3 direct-to-video Disney movies that can qualify as good or "kino."
You have 10 seconds
>>91180521
I've still never seen this.
It's not even that I think it would somehow retroactively ruin Lion King or even that I expect it to be shit. I just don't give enough of a fuck about Timon or Pumbaa to watch them for ~90 minutes.
