Yeah man, that's the best part of those episodes. The tune itself is so creepy and I love all the different ways they worked it into the musical score of the episodes. When Wonder Woman is first possessed by the crystal and she hums it, it sends shivers down my spine every time. She made it sound both beautiful and creepy at the same time. If i ever get a chance to meet Susan Eisenberg at a con someday I want to ask her if she sings because I can easily imagine that she has a lovely singing voice just because of that one moment.

The stuff in Africa takes very, very loose inspiration from Eclipso's origin story. This solar physicist named Bruce Gordon goes to a place called Diablo Island to photograph a solar eclipse and gets assaulted by one of the locals named Mophir (who doesn't look anything like the Mophir in the episode) who cuts him with a black diamond, but Mophir falls to his death. Bruce Gordon is given the black diamond and his goofy costume by the locals and he goes back home and every solar eclipse he turns into a Mr. Hyde that calls himself Eclipso and does supervillain shit. A flash of bright light turns him back into Bruce Gordon.

Eventually this got retconned into Eclipso being a separate entity from Gordon who's actually a fallen angel trapped in the black diamond, but he can't possess people in sunlight because of a curse. He actually has like four different origin stories at this point, but none of them involve snake men.
