season 1 is ending tomorrow /co/
how are we supposed to go back to all those other cape shows after experiencing something like this??

By not being autistic. It's just a tv show.
Well it's getting a second season, so just wait, I guess.

I don't even know how this got made. It would be so easy to fuck up and it's the best capeshit show I've ever seen.
Guess I'm the only one not impressed by "Legion". It's a paper-thin story buried under layers upon layers of trippy imagery filler. Good acting and production values, though.

It's a simple cape story at the core, I don't mind that this is one of the times it is told inventively.

I don't dislike that, but I feel it crosses the line between inventive and just using the imagery as a way to meander the narrative.
But it's still solid.

>just using the imagery as a way to meander the narrative.
I think the silent movie trappings in the previous episode really falls into that.
But I can see why they would do that.
The script and exposition/events would have been aggressively boring otherwise.

I know what you mean but I feel like having "different" stories is important. Nowadays, tv shows as well as movies are filled with instant payoffs, catering to the adhd, modern audiences bring
sometimes the destination is not the important part but the ride. that's why I like this show. it doesn't instantly reveal everything but rather takes its time taking the audience on a fucked up trip

What is the time setting of Legion anyways? I figured it was the 70's, but in the last episode his sister offhandedly mentioned sending an email to someone.

>70's
I don't see how.
Bluntly, his baby-hood seems to be sometime in the late 60's. So maybe sometime in the 90's. X-Men 1 era.
Patrick Stewart when?
>>91114122
Probably next season.
David seems primed to want a lot of answers/closure after the last episode.

Oliver mentioned things from the 60s while he had been in a coma for like 30 years, I think. And when Ptolemy was a kid and his mom died "99 Luftballons" was playing, which is from 1983. I'd say 90s

*Ptonomy
might also be early 2000s, depending on his age
