Did TBS speed up the American Dad theme song? I've been watching on demand lately & the new seasons are giving me anxiety bc I don't know if it's in my head or not

everything on tbs is sped up by a factor of 1.25 to allow for more commercial time. they first got busted by hardcore seinfeld fans
>>91074944
I've noticed it in Syndication in my country too, TV channels are shifty.
>>91075131
Even the regular programming? But thank you. I thought I was crazy.
>>91075283
Yeah, it's aggravating. Good to know other people are noticing it
>>91075452
i think the new eps theyve actually ordered are being made to accommodate for the shorter run time
but the older ones are definitely cut and sped up
tv runtime seems to lose a minute every 5 years
Not cartoons but I've seen it with Hogan's Heroes on CW/CBS. It's real.

the future of tv
>>91075629
Well at least the shows would last a full half hour the

Netflix & HBO keep providing higher quality shows for cheaper. I just don't see cable lasting for another 10 years. I think people are just gonna order their shows individually in a Netflix type of fashion
>>91075797
HBO doesn't really put out that much good content, they have a ton of shows running right now and most aren't worth watching also cable will only last as long as live sports does because that's one of the few things people tune in for.

even if cable dies, i dont think broadcast television (nbc, cbs, abc, fox, pbs) ever will. the built in audience from free over the air tv is larger than netflix can ever be
eventually tho i think cable is going to massively scale down as more and more content is pushed to on-demand. It'll probably end up being something that just comes bundled with your internet service

>I am one of these people
HBO has Game of Thrones though, too good to pirate. DVRs make most commercials irrelevant & ratings are down across the board; the future of tv is interesting
>>91075918
Agreed. I think people will subscribe to shows individually, instead of channels; and then the other shit is live sports, news and talk shows & shit, ironically making ratings go up again
