Also reading this seven years later after I first read it, Millar's dialogue for this still comes up as tryhard toughguy.

Millar is a writer who isn't entirely without skill and talent but who needs an editor who puts him on tight leash and sprays him with cold water anytime he does something really edgy and/or stupid.

Was that by Millar? I know he did the story where Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty are revealed to be gay lovers who made a suicide pact to go kill God, but I think the other story wasn't by him (he left at that point, IIRC)

Yeah but I don't know. Teaser isn't bad. There's even something to all these 80s/90s super femme fatales being shown as genuinely unpleasant, although I get Miller intended no irony there and the twist with the guy in drag is horrendous.

I'm just trying to look for positives because I'm contrary like that. It's absolutely written to the same kind of hymn sheet as Nemesis is.
