Even if it's good, I still can't imagine getting into it. I liked the 2012 series and only liked that series. I never even took notice of the franchise before then (and honestly those 'old LPS' the kids keep crying about look ugly as hell).
It was the same for me with Digimon when I was a kid. I watched Adventure, 02 and Tamers. After that I stopped caring.

Looks flanderized as shit, not even one character stands out.

I'll wait for a trailer if not the first two episodes before dismissing it by a picture alone but, it looks too cutesy so far. And too much samey- ness. Sorry for using baby talk type words.

But look at pic related. I know we can't rewind and unsee the 2012 series so yeah there's some bias to my opinion that comes from seeing the show and knowing the characters personalities but, just try to pretend you're seeing this picture for the first time and you've never watched the 2012 series before.. doesn't that main cast at least look more varied in their designs & personalities than the main cast in OP's picture?

1. They have to look cute, of course. Otherwise, we would have hoards of little girls screaming they want the "old" (read: 2005) toys back.

2. I could see that the new characters each have different blending shades in their designs. They are not uniform in color. The 2012 characters weren't as well, but the new ones look unique when they have the colors blend with each other like gradients.

3. I could tell that four of the six new characters have a distinct personality, especially by their expressions. Comparably, the characters from those webisodes may look cute, but they lack a unique personality that I could tell apart.

The first thing I remember seeing of the 2012 series was pictures of Zoe and only Zoe when one guy insisted on making threads focusing on her. (I didn't even know there was a human at first)
We got Zoe's introducing everyone song, which was catchy as hell, and I was interested right away. Mainly because there hadn't been an LPS series in a long time and since I watched the other Hasbro show, I figured LPS would be good too.

The reason I'm not interested in this new one is because of why it even exists. Dumb kids complaining because the franchise isn't EXACTLY how it was when they were young. And Hasbro thought the best way to fix this was to cancel a cartoon which was actually doing well ratings wise (considering what channel it aired on where ratings are fucking low as hell for everything) and replace it without a second thought. If toy sales were shit before, they're going to stay shit. Those kids will never be happy with LPS because it can never be how it was before. Things change.
If they had aired it on a channel you don't have to pay for, maybe things could have been better. And replacing the HUB was the stupidest thing they could have done. Discovery Family puts very little effort in advertising their shows.
