I'm pretty sure you're joking but Norman is in the higher echelon of repugnant characters in the MU, he's like over twice her age, they have like no relationship, it was out of nowhere purely for shock value the story itself was poorly written and ill-conceived, it besmirched a character who had been dead for maybe a decade or two at the time
