ITT alternate reality capeshit that's better than core continuity.

You know, this may be one of the best Punisher comics I have read too, what a fucking ride The End was.
>>90974893
Frank got his wish in the end, No more Crime.
>>90974893
Ennis' Punisher along with Hitman prove why he's one of the best in the business. Regardless of your feelings on the content he brings full circle satisfying stories to characters, something so rare at the big 2.
>>90974946
He killed the very last criminal on earth.
>>90974997
I still am kind of surprised even under MAX that Marvel published a comic that nihilistic and bleak.
>>90975023
How does it compare to the 1980s Vigilante? That thing was bleak as hell too
Even today I can't think of a better Batman alternate reality than Red Rain
>>90975023
They published Ruins ten years earlier and that's arguably worse considering what happens to the heroes
>>90975040
Well do you have a bit of free time.
I don't think we will have a problem taking away from the Image limit here.

The best Frank Castle faces are in this issue.
End
>>90975612
The faces are great, but what is the artists' problem with body proportion?
Great comic though
>>90975749
problem?
Its a stylistic choice anon
>>90974234
I agree 100%
>>90975749
That is Richard Corben's distinctive style. I know it must look odd to you anons who grew up watching shit cartoons that are drawn in the same style over and over again.
>>90975040
It depends on what you think is bleaker.Adrian died after his life is in taters and he went against his principles and killed Captain Hall (or would've been killed if Raven hadn't been around to save Hall in time), and then Chase decides to kill himself.vsDespite the Punisher's efforts, The Cabal manipulated world conflicts to the point where it led to armageddon, killing the vast majority of humanity and leaving the Earth a radioactive wasteland. Despite the fact the Cabal (and the guy who tags along with Punisher) are the only other remaining people on Earth, Punisher killed them all because they were criminals, and then later the radiaction burns and sickness affect Castle more so he goes to what's left of Central Park to die alone.
>>90975854
Now I feel like doing a Punisher run in Fallout New Vegas.
>>90975645
10/10
The best kind of horrible and bleak.
>>90974309
>Superman: At Earth's End
>Good
I really can't take "Nuclear Armageddon" stories seriously, though. Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still there, animals live at nuclear test grounds, people can spend a day or two at Chernobyl with minimal affects.
I'm not saying that Nuclear War would not be horrific, it just would not be the end of all human life everywhere.
>>90975645
>good shit
>>90974234
Ooo, where's that from?
I'm keen to read that.
>>90978626
Imma take a guess and say Nuclear War would be more than 2 bombs.
>>90975469
why do they need vending machines
>>90978859
See >>90975386
They worked on that bunker after 9/11 so they probably had vending machines there from before the whole mess started.
>>90978800
Superman red son friendo
The nextwave alt universe brainwashing that forbushman did was amazing. Immonen and the colorist did a fantastic job doing all the different art styles
>>90979001
Thanks Anon - reading it now.
>>90975089
I like to think the Gentry did this.
>>90974234
So, Luthor loves Hal because he's so dedicated to playing make believe?
>>90979101
Nextwave is gloriously insane, but even Ellis will readily admit the the art is what makes it work.
