I didn't, because jack has defeated much tougher opponents throughout the series. If this episode was earlier on it might've made more sense, but most of the enemies jack's had to go up against were a lot tougher than a bunch of 50s robots and he only went down so the totoro ripoff had a reason to be there and save him.
