Kun Lun is basically Buddhism + Confuscianism + Taoism, all of which place importance on human life and taking a passive approach to combat. Of course, this contradicts the entire idea of vigilante justice. I'm not well-read on Iron Fist's solo comics so I don't know how this is dealt with in the comics if at all.
