It's because the tiny nose, half closed eyes and open fish lips are really hard to pull off. Pretty much every artist suffers from what /co/ would describe as "sameface".

Sometimes it is warranted, but most of the time it's just people noticing the artist has a particular style (as all artists do) and that their characters have shared physical traits and therefore "sameface". I don't really understand what people want, If an artist drew every character in a different style their art would look disjointed as fuck.

It isn't even that frequent, months of time between most messages. I certainly hope I'm not being an annoyance. Honestly I was looking for feedback on the art from the artist himself. Not really getting any of that though. However, in terms of his track record with his work it has been quite slow and rather infrequent. He isn't as young as he once was, and he wasn't exactly heading forward with doing an artbook.

The artbook that came out for his work was headed by Frank Cho. Who is a huge fan of Budd's work.

I'm sure there are many things happening in Budd's life behind the scenes that we can't even begin to know. However, the fact that he is working on moving away from Cavewoman is a bit disappointing.
