Judging power levels with Jack as a reference is hard. Its the same issue with Brock Samson from Venture Bros.


Both EASILY defeat elite soldiers like they were simple mooks. Characters that would be a challenge for most MCs, for them are not even mini bosses.

If you are a strong elite warrior with a name, chances are that you will lost in seconds for Jack. If you last 5 minutes in a fight against him...you are already fucking awessome and probably never faced someone as strong as you.

This is why characters who could match Jack were so fucking satisfying to see. The Seven Daughters would probably destroy most of the bounty hunters and vilains that Jack fought along these 5 seasons, but they work mostly as attacking like a pack of wolfs.

On the subject of the parallel between Jack vs the Daughters and the Wolf vs the Tiger-things, something I noticed is that the wolf was white. Some other anons have suggested this is meant to recall Jack's old outfit, and the wolf is symbolizing the death of the old Jack. I agree with this in part, but I also think there's a chance that the wolf is still alive, just bloodied and beaten, as Jack is at the end of the episode and floating down the river. I think there's a decent chance that we will see the wolf alive and well, or waking up, at some point when Jack finds the sword again or regains his confidence and sense of purpose.

Another thing I'd like to point out is the nature of the animals - wolves are pack animals, but the one we see is all alone. Just as Jack is all alone. Wolves are often seen as noble animals, and there is the Lone Wolf archetype which fits Jack, but could it be that what Jack is missing is his pack? I think it'll become more important later in the season for Jack to find his old friends and allies and reaffirm those bonds, rather than facing Aku and his evil all by himself.

As for the tigers, AFAIK tigers are not pack animals. They're lone hunters, and the Daughters are likely the same given how they were raised (whether the one daughter who tried to help Ashi has had her altruism/camaraderie stamped out of her completely or not remains to be seen). I think this may be foreshadowing some infighting or the ultimate weakness of the sisters, that they are 7 with one purpose but not a "real team/family."
