Porridge Jack is canon Jack, anon. Aku never lied about anything in the story, he is the only one who can see Jack when he isn't saving people, aways walking in the forest doing crazy crap.

As the last episode showed, Jack became a disturbed crazy man, when he sees a house alone in the forest he reks everything and steal all food by pure stress and purge all his repressed anger into innocent people he don't know, only doing this he can appear soo chill when he visits a village

Also, Jack really ate the three little pigs, they were pigs, pigs are food and no one was looking.

it's not a reboot because Genndy has clearly stated that he's retiring the series after the conclusion. a "reboot" implies that the point of the whole season is to revitalize interest for toys/continued seasons, which it isn't. This is the last season.
