The suffering will ultimately be good for her, so long as she can get her revenge out of the way promptly and doesn't stay full angst mode for too long. Her search for her family is what made her a bit more compelling than the others in Season 1, and once that's gone she's back to the generic "people to protect" motivation. That's fine for Hunk, but I want more for Pidge.

And it's not just Pidge. Having someone so close to one of the Paladins die in such a way puts things into perspective for everyone. We could use a moment like that after the huge victory over Zarkon.

The only problem is how to get him Robeasted without Lotor or Haggar being directly responsible. We need an easier fall guy so the revenge kick won't last too long.

We have enough 10,000 year olds, I think. I really hate settings where everyone and their grandchild is 23,736 years old. Except the first Disgaea where it was played for laughs. It gets really friggin' stupid especially when they share spotlight with humans that live ~100 years tops. It'd show how powerful and ancient our villain is!" but they don't think it through.
