It's good. Give it a good try and then decide for yourself. If you don't feel bad about watching it and have some free time, I'd suggest to watch at least up to the Blood Moon Ball episode, or better - the whole season 1.

It's understandable. The first episodes are really not that good at all. I dropped the show in it's first episode actually. Though over time, the humor becomes more stable, they learn to use the characters a LOT better and it uses it's potential much more.

I'd say the lolxd humor is really only in the first half of season 1. The rest of the show's humor is actually funny (or it just falls flat).

Not my cup of tea. I've given it numerous chances, but it's not particularly funny, it's not particularly exciting, and it's not particularly clever. People say it gets better, but I've sampled some of the random newer episodes and my reaction was the same.

And like. When I wasn't watching Gravity Falls and didn't like what I had seen, I at least saw the generals talking about a bunch of different interesting things, not JUST Pinecest and shota. Whereas Star vs threads have been 100% shipping for the last year. I think a certain branch of /co/ is just being pandered to.

It gets better toward the end of S1 and S2 feels quite different, they hold back on the zany jokes and focus more on lore and characters
If it feels like you're stomaching through it though then go watch something else, don't feel forced to watch something you think is crap.

Well for one thing we're on hiatus so shitposting and cuckposting is at max. Second, Star vs started getting really into it's plot in the second season so you're probably not browsing the threads at the right times but GF had lore and mysteries from early in it's first season while it took a while for Star vs to get to that point.

For a while, the whole show reminded me a lot of the classic era of The Simpsons with its rapid-fire jokes, many of which were able to hit that sweet spot of being kind of mean-spirited but also funny--that part in Golf War where Big Henry just straight up dies had me in stitches.

And while the finale was disappointing, the show did a great job building up hype and keeping viewers hooked.

If you like Star vs, that's fine. But of all the semi-recent shows that have garnered praise for having elements both kids and adults can enjoy, it can't be counted among them.
