The main characters of the last /co/ related thing you watched/read got a lantern ring.
Which lantern ring is it?
>>90754008
The Lantern Corps threads were years ago, Anon.
No one gives much of a fuck about the contrived Emotion Magic Green Lanterns.
>>90754008
I've been re-watching Samurai Jack, and I think we all know who gets what in that.
>>90754008
Goliath. I'm pretty sure he'd either have a Green or Blue ring (Will or Hope) but I'm honestly not too sure.
Demona with a red ring would be pretty fucking cool though.
>Mabel
>Orangethat bitch.
How unstoppable would he be with a red lantern ring
>>90754008
Star vs:
Star gets Green Lantern
Marco get Indigo
Jackie getsPink
>>90754008
Star Sapphire
>>90754288
>Star
>Green
She is broken and turning evil. Her will is weak. Possibly Orange orBlack
>>90754528
She turns RED.
kills Jackie.
What would >pic related's ring be?
>>90754008
>Which lantern ring is it?ALL OF THEM
>>90754008
Judge Dredd.
Either green or yellow, I'm leaning towards green.
>>90756930
Voltoom's ring.
>>90755851
>needing a ring
>he's a power source
>none are worthy of the Hyper Ring
>>90757880
Only 52 can be chosen.
>>90754008
I honestly don't know. He pushes his emotions down most of the time. He's far too unnerved by things he doesn't like to be green, but doesn't really center his life around his rage to be red. Nothing else seems to fit either.
>>90754008
Meru in Mind MGMT probably has a green ring
>>90754528
isn't black only for people that are dead/have died
>>90757980
blue i'd guess. he places value in certain ways of thinking and he tries to do what he thinks is right
>>90757980
hank would be indigo
he cares for his friends, his family, and even his neighbors he doesn't like.
>>90754008
The common answer for Finn would be green but I feel like blue fits better for him. He's given lots of other characters hope in the show.
>>90754149
This all over.
>Uncanny Avengers
Deadpool - Yellow
Rogue - Green
Red Skull - Yellow
>>90754008
Garnet, Pearl, and Steven from SU would get lavender rings. Jasper would get red.
Hope.
Definitely hope
>>90758528
I always read it as both physical death and emotional death. So like where you're so emotionally burnt out that you can't feel things anymore. LikeFrank.
How would they even wear them?
>>90759090
on their dicks
>>90757980
You think that's hard try fucking Dale.
Actually he'd be a black lantern at this point. No wait that'd be cotton.
Maybe indigo?
Bill would be a pathetic star sapphire with a ridiculous outfit.
>>90758809
No it's purely physical but they need you to feel some sort of emotion before they eat your heart or turn you into one.
>>90758809
It has to be physical death.
>>90754008
I think Orange works well with him.
>>90759193
Closest I can think of is Yellow, but Dale mostly feels fear instead of inflicting it on others and he's too decent of a guy to become a supervillain. Pardon if I got the mechanics wrong.
>>90758528
star does a lot of inter-dimensional and time travel. If Heckapoo's teleportation magic works like in The Prestige (which it probably does because she is a fucking demon),then Star has died every time she goes through a portal.
>Bob's Burgers
Bob gets Green, I think? Maybe Blue.
Linda gets to be a Star Sapphire.
Tina gets Orange.
No idea what Gene gets.
Louise gets Yellow.
>>90757980
red. just cause people deserve to be yelled at, doesn't mean that Hank didn't flip out and rage. He rages a lot.
>>90759492
>>90759541
But that's not an emotion. How is it part of the emotional spectrum?
>>90757769
Honestly yellow is the most fitting considering all he does is use fear to dispense justice.
>Sara Lance - Death
>Ray Palmer - Hope
>Mick Rory - Rage (and also a Green ring that he pilfered from someone else while they weren't looking)
>Prof. Stein - Fear
>Jax - Willpower
>Nate - Compassion
>Amyra - Love
>Granpappy Steel - Willpower
>Thawne - Fear and/or Death
>Rip Hunter - Fucked if I know. Love or Compassion for his deceased family, I guess?
>>90759675
Bob is absolutely Indigo compassion. He always tries to help out everybody. More than hope because he's often wildly pessimistic.
>>90759698
Because why not?
>>90759763
That works. I chose Green because he's a really hard worker and doesn't cut corners even though his business doesn't do well.
Rick and Morty
>Rick obviously gets black
>Morty gets green for surviving all the shit Rick outs him through
>>90759764
Neither is life. Black is none of the colours at all so it is absence of all emotions, ie death. Life is experiencing all of the emotions in different ways and at different times so it's the colour that is all of the others combined, ie white.
>>90759829
Lack of emotions is embodied by the pale bishops, though. They weren't black at all.
>>90759829
I really should get those Geoff Johns GL Omnibus books.
>>90757980
Hank's primary character trait is "dedicated", he sticks to his values no matter what, is willing to take a stand when things aren't right, and goes above and beyond when most others wouldn't even try. It screams Green Ring.
>>90759884
Lack of emotion in life, perhaps, sure. But it appears to be the concept behind Black = Death as well. Loss of all emotions (because you're fucking dead) = loss of all aspects of the emotional spectrum = loss of all light = total darkness, absolute black.
I don't know if you can really say Black is on the emotional spectrum but it's so closely tied to it by its absence so I can see why it was chosen and conceptualized as such.
>>90759735
>Stein
>Fear
Fucking whut?
>>90754180
He's already the most powerful being in the multiverse basically. All the other demiurges are scared shitless of him. Giving him a ring would be like strapping a cherry bomb onto a nuke.
>>90759829
>Black is none of the colours
But black is all of the colors. It absorbs every color in the visible spectrum.
>>90760084
In terms of light, black doesn't exist. Which appears to be what the spectrum is based off, since a White object would repel all colours/emotions otherwise and that appears to be the antithesis of how the Life/Creation aspect of the emotional spectrum is described.
>>90759829
Black absorbs color.
White repels colors.
Think about it for a second.
>been watching Samurai Jack for the first time ever
>only just finished Jack vs The Lava Monster
Fuck man, I don't even know, I'm not a fan of GL stuff, but I may have to go with Green here, Jack's willpower so far has been amazing
(Picture unrelated)
>>90759884
The Pale Bishops were such a bad conceptualization of "no emotion" though.
>Fear enough to worry about what the emotional spectrum will do to the universe
>Compassion enough to care about what it does to people and the universe (fear and compassion are often closely aligned here)
>The willpower to spread the Paling and attempt to get others to actually abide by it so they can be saved
A truly emotionless being wouldn't do anything. Would just embrace nihilism and let everything be exactly as it is.
>>90760132
Lanterns emit light, ergo we're conidering white light as the symbolism, not white objects. Are you saying white somehow represents having none of the emotions?
Because Kyle's white ring being able to emulate the power of every other colour except black should clue you in well enough as to which is "all the emotions" and which is "none of the emotions".
>>90760291
Think of White Lanterns as a prism.
