Lapis comes to the temple and stays with Steven for a while. Whenever he asks about Peridot, she seems to get annoyed and tries to avoid the subject. She kind of starts living there, but Steven doesn't really think about it. Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl wonder what's wrong. Steven and Lapis spend the whole episode talking and playing around. Steven finds out the reason Lapis left the barn was because she had a fight with Peridot, and attempts to convince them to live together again. Unsuccessfully.
Pearl is angry that Amethyst lost a magic object that could be dangerous for humans. It must be somewhere in Beach City. Steven and Connie start investigating.
Steven and Connie try to introduce Onion to videogames.
Steven and Lapis find an actual magic mirror and wonder if there's a gem inside. Turns out there isn't.
Lapis decides to go back to the barn, but brings Pearl with her, because she thinks Pearl could stop Peridot from doing retarded shit. It turns out the more you stay around Peridot, the more retarded you get. Pearl manages to run away, but it's already too late for Lapis.
Lapis and Peridot got so retarded that they actually married. Both of them are angry that nobody went to their wedding. Because of this, they go back to Homeworld to get their revenge on the Crystal Gems and show them what the power of OTP can do.

Is it weird if I still like the show but bummed out that it either hasn't had news of renewal, or that people have shitted on it recently?

This recent season isn't that great and I do feel as though some criticisms are warranted. But it makes me depressed because I know Rebecca cares for it and wouldn't sabatoge it herself.

Peridots are unstable, and they deteriorate when exposed to Earth's atmostphere, mostly because of the moisture.
Peridot's limb enhancers were not only designed to let her do what a normal Peridot can do, but also to protect her from the elements and stop her from deteriorating as quickly.
Peridot was already becoming a meme when she was still a villain, and she only became memeier after her redemption.
But it's meeting Lapis that would truly ruin her. They frequently play with water, and the water is deteriorating Peridot faster than ever, both mentally and physically.
As time goes on, her gem is working harder than ever to supply her physical form with energy, but it keeps being lost and wasted the more her gem deteriorates. Her body is getting smaller because it's more energy efficient, and she may have been able to get by for a while, but her regular use of her metal powers is just making things worse.
Her mental state is even worse than her physical state. She's losing parts of her mind like her rational thought and her sense of shame. She's having trouble forming new and original thoughts, instead repeating memetic phrases.
Pretty soon, she'll only be capable of speaking in memes quoting herself. When Lapis shatters her out of mercy, her last words will be "Wow, thanks!"

I'd give that to Pearl. She's slender and her face is easy to draw. Pearl is the funnest for me to draw due to her simple design.

Meanwhile Steven is more stubby, so it's more difficult to draw the limbs properly without making them look too long. Also, his face is more difficult because of that cheek of his. You have to get his cheeks looking right or else his face looks really awkward.
