Why, I do believe it's time for... Red Dwarf‽

But enough about me, how was your day?
Yes, we're trying something a bit different today - I've gone into one British sci-fi classic, I thought I might as well try another. I'll post the whole publication, just for kicks.
What the smeg?
On a less pleasant note, desuarchive is timing out on me.
I think I had one issue of the Smegazine.
The comic was some stupid thing about Robby Rocketpants and Mr Flibble.

>ywn be oiled up by skanky looking British women
The books, the first two at least, were really fucking good weren't they?
>>90715224
I though it was interesting how Doug and Rob gave their own different endings to their story.
>>90715271
Yeah, I like both but I do have to give it more to Last Human.
Just because it gives more of a "sum up" than Backwards's "and the adventure continues", though the latter stays truer to the show.

Fucking Ace Rimmer, space adventurer!
>>90715321
I concur.
By the way, how are you?
That's enough of Red Dwarf for today...
... Mickey Spillane was born 99 years ago on the 9th...
>>90714231
I loved the show, but that cover art isn't giving me very high hopes for this.
>desuarchive is still down
Damn it, who else archives /co/ as well as desu does?
... Marty Ingels would've been 80...
... Raúl Juliá would've been 77...
... Linda Fiorentino was 59...
>>90714231
This is gonna be one helluva blast from the past. Thanks.
... Oscar Isaac was 38...
>>90715126
What a guy!
... and Terry Nation died from an emphysema twenty years ago that day. He was 66.

Both had their own strengths and weaknesses. It really showed how Grant Naylor complimented each other back in their Hey-Day. "Last Human" had all the excellent Sci-Fi stuff and character drama, and "Backwards" had all the humor. Neither feels quite right without the other.
>Red Dwarf is 40 years old now
Where did the fucking time go?
Robert Llewellyn was 61 on the 10th...
... Sharon Stone was 59...
... Jasmine Guy was 55...
... Paget Brewster was 48...
... Jon Hamm was 46...
... Olivia Wilde was 33...
... Bill Blackbeard, founder & director of the San Francisco Academy of Comic Art, died 6 years ago that day...
... Moebius died 5 years ago...
>>90714231
A mate of mine has every single fucking one of these magazines. I never read 'em but really liked the first 5 or 6 seasons. Still, I'll have a read. Cheers Minifig
... and Don Ingalls, who wrote two episodes of Star Trek, died three years ago.
>The Cat holy wars where they argued over what kind of hotdog hats they should wear
Albert Saimi would've been 89 on the 11th...
>>90718804
>>90718857
Two legitimate legends...can't believe it's been five years already....
... Douglas Adams would've been 65...
This'll take 150 pages, so maybe desuarchive will stop being fucked by the time I'm done.
Have a bump friendo

Oh wow, u had no idea Red Dwarf had a comic
I loved that show back in high school.
It had probably one of the absolute funniest moments in television at the end of the "everything is in reverse" world they visited.
I don't know how to spoilertext, so I'll leave it at the expression on the cat's face almost made me piss my pants laughing.

bump

Man this comic is so inexpressive. Kinda boring to read.
