True but they could make for good tactics. They can't hurt him but they can make for a good distraction and smokescreen. One of Jackson issues with fighting Aku tends to be he always goes sword first. If he uses supports he could get him off guard

Jack's clothing gets ripped and shredded almost every episode of the original series, he loses his sheath to his sword too many times to count, yet they still appear later in the series or even the same episode perfectly fine.

Unlike the original series, this story isn't episodic. Genndy's said it's like a movie. Every episode continues into the next. Jack isn't going to have his gear suddenly repaired this time.

In Jack vs Aku, Jack was able to seemingly hurt Aku during their duel, so he apparently does feel pain against things other than Jack's sword. Shooting him in the eyes or something might create an opening.

For that fight Aku was not supposed to use superhuman powers. That could be the more defensive stuff as well, though honestly I doubt Aku would purposely weaken himself that much as well, plus he did cheat a few times during that duel. You're probably right, anon.
