Is Golan the Insatiable a cute show at all?
I know its an adult show on Fox but a lot of the clips seem pretty cute.
Plus Dylan is adorable.
>>90692405
Yes and no. There are some moments where Dylan is just like "Aw, what a sweet dumb kid", and her relationship with Golan is adorable, but it wuickly reminds you that this is a murdeeing demon and his immature, lacking of moral, acolyte.
All in good fun.
It's a dark comedy from yhe creators of Drawn Together, but in a fucked up way, it's kinda light-hearted
Outside of some cute moments involving Dylan, it was completely and utterly unfunny.
>>90692846
Well as long as its cute then I'm down.
Cute dark goth girls are my jam and I love that while Dylan is a bitter cruel girl. She's still just a little kid at heart who acts childish and cute.
>>90692846
>unfunny
>>90692405
>Dylan is adorable
Damn right anon
>>90692691
This is from the same guys who made Drawn Together?
That's kind of surprising I cant think of one sweet or cute moment in Drawn Together.
But Golan the Insatiable seems to have a lot of cute generally sweet moments.
I am only a few eps in so maybe I just haven't seen it get really messed up.
As long as it stays consonantly cute then ill keep watching.

I wanted to like the show I really did but the only thing that kept me watching was Dylan.
Also Golan was kind of funny sometimes but it was really hit and miss
imagine getting Aubrey plaza to dress up like Dylan in the bedroom
I'm surprised by how legit funny this show is.
I was expecting something like Family guy were everyone is hateful and all the comedy would be nothing but violence and nastiness.
But this show is really funny so far as well as being sweet I love all the interactions between Golan and Dylan.
Dylan is for sexual, right?
>>90693856
Fuck off.
Dylan is for hugs only.
Don't ruin this thread before it even begins.
I still need more cute Dylan pics.
>>90692846
What does she see in him?
>>90692405
Pre reboot yes, post not really.
Previously it was a better show, 11 minute format suited in much better
I guess. The porn we got every week was nice.
>>90694044
is Dylan the original animated cuck?
>>90694044
He's a weirdo who happens to do things she likes (hurts himself.)
>>90692405
I find amusing the big quantity of big insertion porn there is about her
>>90692405

Nah I was watching ADHD before. Major Lazer was damn good too, wish they'd put out all the music.
>>90699087
I saw it on Hulu, and was like, meh why not?
I really liked it. Sucks we'll never see it again. Dylan is adorable and reminded me of Wednesday Adams in a way.
>>90693856
i only like the solo porn of dylan
i dont like seeing her get fucked in her tight little cunny
>>90694601
>randomly using the word cuck pointlesly to fit in
You shouldn't use words you don't know the meaning of.
>>90692405
don't know. i stopped watching when they changed voice actors
>>90693856
Yes.
Her true father?
>>90703207
blessed haich
Dylan puts duct tape on her vagina.
>finally find a main character that shares my name
>different gender
What kind of name is Dylan for a girl anyway?
>>90703134
>>90703226
>>90703246
>>90703540
Language is an abstract concept. Words only mean what we want them to, and names are likewise things we make up and can change at will. There was never a natural law of names assigned to genders.
>>90704735
That's a fine argument for a different conversation than this, but realistically there is a natural law of names assigned to genders, because they come from a language that makes them carry gender-specific meanings. For example, Dylan translates as "Son of the Sea", Andrew comes from a greek word meaning "Manly" or "Masculine", Benjamin is "Son of my right hand", etc.
Dylan is a weird name for a girl.
>>90704735
fuckin' schooled
>>90703540
Dylan is a unisex name. I didn't know that before I watched this show.
>>90705008
>but realistically there is a natural law of names assigned to genders
No. Again, we decide what sounds or feels feminine or masculine, it can change from one person to the next and you and I could come up with our own system right now if we wanted to. It doesn't matter what the original meaning was because language is mutable and abstract, the things you cite in your post mean nothing because again, they're just something someone made up and could change or be forgotten at any time. Words and terms have deviated from their original meaning and usage before, and constantly do so. The term faggot, for example, is more commonly identified as an offensive insult than the food it was before, and a "fag" is a cigarette in England.
I used to think Francis was a girls name. Then I learned it used to be a man's name. Francis is still programmed into me to seem like a girls name because up until the discovery of it's previous status as a man's name I had only ever known it as a name for girls.
The English language and our names did not evolve out of the natural world awaiting us to discover them, they are social constructs.
>>90705574
The original meaning of a name does have significance in our modern vocabulary, as all words do, because definitions evolve over time rather than spontaneously changing at our whim. Of course you can say that a word's past usage doesn't permanently determine its future ones, but it would be naive to think that the past meanings of our language have absolutely no sway over the future. You're obviously not thinking that, but the name "Dylan" has always been predominantly male and likely will be for quite some time, barring some sort of huge cultural influence to convince the populace otherwise, so it isn't out of the question to call Dylan a weird name for a girl.
I do get your point, and your reasoning is solid, but it really isn't fair to argue that Dylan isn't a weird name for a girl just because its gender-based usage could theoretically be abolished in the future. That's like saying someone shouldn't be insulted by the word 'nigger' because words are a social construct and can change definition at any point in time.
I didn't know that Dylan was a unisex name until now, albeit one that leans heavily towards males, but now you've got me arguing about social constructs and shit when I don't even disagree with you in the first place on those points. This is like the internet version of complaining about your tone of voice. I'm acting like an argumentative girlfriend because you whipped out the social constructs card. The fuck, man, I didn't ask for this?
