Long ago, I wouldn't have minded if he just left the goddamn book already and gave someone else a chance to write ASM.

But even then, I wouldn't know who to replace him. Most of Marvel Comic's current talent is pretty meh honestly. Gave is terrible. Bendis would just kill Peter off to replace him with Miles. I don't trust modern Waid. Soule is pretty meh.

I'm okay with that. He has protected Peter from Bendis, and while a lot of his events haven't been popular, I liked them enough and appreciate the risks he takes with his ideas. By far not my favorite Spider-man writer, but things could have been much much worse.
