Pearl wouldn't rape Steven. At first, she grooms him, tells him how amazing he is, that he's her favourite Gem, and that she loves him.
Then she starts making moves on Steven. She spends more time on him, has more physical contact with him, and starts to kiss him.
After some time, she tells him about "sex" and how it's what two people who love each other very much does to express their love for each other, and that she wants to do it with him. Obviously she leaves out how important it is for the first time and that being the first to have sex with someone is a big deal, that could make Steven want to save it for someone else.

Then, during their session, she lovingly tells him how amazing he is and how good of a job he's doing with the sex, and that it feels so good.
She wouldn't ever rape Steven, no, never. But she would influence and manipulate him into having sex with her, and making sure he'd love it.

The unknown about the aliens and the ancient gem structures was intriguing and the style was charming. Honestly, I don't love the direction the show has gone. It's either townies or intense plot, and I don't find it as interesting anymore.

The show is extremely flawed. It has inconsistent animation, it take take ages each season for a plot to come along and sometimes the slow burn is just too much.

...even so, it's one of my favourite shows. The characters are great. The plot is interesting (when it's focused on) and even the Townie stuff is enjoyable when it's written well (i.e. there's jokes if there's no gem antics to go around).

My biggest gripe is really the unending paranoia as to whether the show will be renewed in time to cover all the topics left to cover in the detail they deserve. If the show ends on like Season 7 or 8 then I think it'll remain a great show overall.

If not...then who knows.

I agree with this I miss the real family dynamic of the show of just Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst and Steven.
The family dynamic was so good it felt like a real family unit and loved the banter between all four of them.
But I feel we don't see that as much anymore, Even when Steven interacts with the gems its not really as a family as it used too.
Bubbled was the last ep that really worked with that and I adored it when Steven was saved and the gems are so happy he's ok it was sweet stuff like that, that truly made the show so good and I want more of that damn it.
