This was before Death Battle, back when there wasn't an absurdly prevalent social pressure to have absolutely everything crossover with everything else. Sure, there was a retarded desire among fake nerds to have stupid match ups, but it was never this bad until Screwattack came along and made it spread like cancer. It makes me mad because this crossover shit is devaluing the very concept of quality storytelling. Any given individual work has to stand on its own, and this constant demand for crossovers implies that nobody actually cares about if a work is good or not, only if they can use power levels to get into stupid forum arguments. So frankly, any official crossover that gets made is an insult to the respective properties, since if they could stand on their own, there'd be no reason whatsoever to force them together.
