ITT : characters that should suck but we're actually good
Superboy: hip young "fashionable" version of an older classic character , spun out of an edgy summer crossover event
Turrns out to be a fun likable character
You forgot rebooted in nu52 in to the clone of Clark and Lois's son who angry and in no way fun or likable. Then Killed off and replaced by Clark and Lois son who he was cloned from who is a bad guy. then never heard from again.
Adult version is better.

When cereal king is good, he's really good. But otherwise..

Agree to disagree, faggot
Artemis of the Bana-Migdhall. Created to be Wonder Woman's edgy rival and temporary 90s replacement. Turned out to be exactly that, only charming and raising some legitimate points that Diana is forced to consider.
Jared Stevens aka FATE. Another 90s replacement character, this time for Doctor Fate. Gruff, snarling angster in the first few issues, quickly turned around to become a total dweeb with a devil may care attitude.

I'm a huge slut for 90's Superboy, even though it was before my time, but from the pages and panels posted on /co/, he seemed like a good and fun character. And again, that unironic 90's look, is Bone City for me.
Bunker.
Gay Mexican fop with purple hard light bricks, and the only good part of Lobdell's Teen Titans.

i think its really funny how he can completely change characters for the worse without a hint of self awareness

Not muh
Johns does have good reimaginings in his portfolio (Sinestro, Lex - maybe I have a similar antihero kink), but Conner is a bastardization to the point where Lobdell's version could've been an improvement if it didn't suck as well

Helps that Karl Kesel is the fucking best.
Azrael, Catwoman, and Bloodshot come to mind
Catwoman is a book that just screams T&A but is actually a pretty good "honorable thief" story

I'm not even ashamed to admit I wanted to fuck him when he looked like this.
