A computerized backup of Dooku would make a nice "evil, artificial ghost" to sort of parallel to Obi-Wan's force ghost with Luke. Darth Maul and Anakin are force users, Grievous is not. It is believable that they could survive those wounds because magic ain't gotta explain shit. Their brains was also intact and they were alive after their wounds.
General Grievous on the other hand was just a regular dude who got addicted to cybernetics and who combusted internally, destroying all of his remaining organs and killing him.

Overall a bad idea but it got me thinking.
How about a Boba Fett movie after ESB that is Fett trying to bring Han to Jabba while literally every Rebel and Bounty Hunter in the galaxy is gunning for him? We always hear about how Boba Fett is a bad ass, well why not prove it as he runs the deadliest gauntlet of his life while trying to drag Han Solo from one part of the galaxy to another? Along the way they could characterize his relationship with Han a little (assuming they want him to actually hate Han for some reason) and flesh out the bounty hunter side of the universe has he fights IG-88, Bossk, etc on his way from Bespin to Jabba.

We know from Rogue One and A New Hope that the main Rebel Base once the Alliance forms is Yavin IV, not Chopper Base, so it's fairly obvious to savvy fans that this season of Rebels is going to end with everything going wrong. Thrawn is going to use Kallus to figure out where Chopper Base is, and then obliterate it from existence.And people will still bitch and say that it was just a "shitty Keikaku" even though we've clearly been shown what his plan is, and how it's coming together for him across multiple episodes.People will also bitch when, despite him destroying the base, most of the main cast will live, because Thrawn is on this huge "not allowed to fail" pedestal

It's simply too much and too expensive.
TCW was very happy to do celeb cameos from time to time. (Takei, Tennant, Neeson,Pegg, ect)
But giving celebs full-time roles would be inconvenient when they're busy filming movies and tv shows, and too expensive when they demand more money for their time.
People are already speculating that Kallus's role has been reduced (and that he may even be dying) because his actor is getting too high-profile now. I personally don't think that is exactly true, he would have likely been written off by now, he's actually had MORE screentime this season than the last. Sure he may be getting killed off, maybe, but I don't think money was a factor in this case. But it's food for thought.

Look at Kevin Smith. He "defends" the prequels for years. Then TFA comes out and he's like "prequels ew, now this is the real Star Wars". Then Rogue One comes out and it's the best SW since 1980. Then he gets to visit LFL and Filoni "illuminates" him that the Jedi Order was wrong in the PT and Smith treats it like some unparalleled new discovery that completely changed his perception of the trilogy.

Funny, TFA changed my perspective on the prequels. I could never hate George. Sure I criticize some of his bizarre decisions on his movies but to actively hate him like a lot of prequel haters do seems wrong. He just made some bad movies, big deal. TFA didn't make me a sudden prequel lover, but made me appreciate them for at least telling a new story instead of remaking the OT all over. The world building has always been great to me so I guess that made it easier to gloss over other details like the clumsy dialogue.

To be fair, I think the original comment was simply calling for Luke to do things other than give us grand displays of the Force. Jedi action is kind of empty without the lightsaber. That said, I do agree with this. Luke shouldn't use his lightsaber unless the situation clearly depends upon it. That's not to say the lightsaber was abused in the Prequels or Originals or anything, but simply wanting Luke to use his lightsaber for the sake of using it is childish. Stories like Star Wars shouldn't run on what's "cool" to see.

Like, one of the first things Kathleen Kennedy did was put the story group together so that everyone at Lucasfilm could go through them to make sure nobody was screwing up.
She didn't hire them as a joke.

Partly due to Bad Robots involvement, the rest of the movies are all being made entirely with Lucasfilm, so thankfully the LSG will be closer than ever from now on

What’s more, Disney’s director of Library Restoration and Preservation, Theo Gluck, held a special event at Ohio State University’s Wexner Center for the Arts last night, a presentation called Animation Restoration at Walt Disney Studios. Gluck was asked there about Star Wars and reported that the original cut negative for the film currently exists in its “SE” configuration only. (There’s more info, so do continue on past the jump.)

Thus, it appears that there is little chance of the original 1977 Star Wars being released on any home video format in 2017.

In ANH, Leia says Dantooine, hoping to send the Empire on a goose chase to a planet that isn't even the Rebel Base, to spare Alderaan.
They took that and turned it into a Rebels episode. Lost Stars is the first actual confirmation that there was at least, at some point, some Rebels on Dantooine. Until this point, we didn't know how much Leia was lying, for all we knew, Dantooine could have been canonically a wasteland with not human life on it period.
Now the Rebels episode is going to show us the Rebels on Dantooine, the exact same Rebels referenced in Lost Stars, all stemming from the simple line of dialogue in ANH where Leia lies about Dantooine to try to save her family.
We already know how far ahead the LSG are, especially with Rebels. The Star Wars Show interview with Leeland and Pablo goes into it, where they talk about stuff like Vader's Mustafar Castle, something that was teased in Rebels 2 years before Rogue One came out.
There is no doubt in my mind that this Dantooine story was one planned very early on, with the Lost Stars dialogue hinting at it
